3.3.2 Hoseline assembly repackaging. The kit shall repackage the hoseline, in accordance with
the prescribed procedures of the flaking box loading plan in MIL-PRF-52262.
3.3.3 Compression component. The compression component shall function, in conjunction
with a flaking box (MIL-PRF-52262), and components identified herein to compress the hose
assembly for repackaging. The compression component shall not twist or rotate, nor shall it cause
the hose to twist or rotate. The compression components shall also provide a straight, full width
and height, compression of the hose.
3.3.4 Hose retaining device. A retaining clamp, or similar device, shall be used to secure the
compressed segments of hose assembly in the flaking box during compression. The device shall
hold the compressed segment when the compressing force is removed. Each device shall be
provided to hold against approximately 750 pounds of force. The device shall not require tools to
install or remove. Two complete sets of the hose-retaining device shall be required.
3.3.5 Pressure device. A pressure device shall be used to apply force to the compression
component. The force to be applied shall be not less than 1500 pounds. The force shall be
applied evenly to the compression component as the hose assembly is being compressed. The
pressure device shall not interfere with the flaking of hose assembly and be easily removable for
reuse or return to the storage container.
3.3.6 Container. A container shall be provided for storage and transport of the kit components.
The container shall not exceed 22 inches in height. The container shall be sufficiently strong to support
